Roberto Galetti
Italian-born Roberto Galetti, Executive Chef, Managing Director, Partner of Garibaldi Group, and recipient of Restaurateur of the Year 2009 (Regional) award.Chef Roberto Galetti brings with him twenty years of culinary experience having graduated from the prestigious Culinary Institute Caterina De Medici in Italy.

His love for travel saw him work in various hotels around the world, which included Hyde Park Hotel in London; Grand Hotel Palazzo della Fonte in Fiuggi; Schwaithlalm Hotel in Salzburg, Austria; World-renowned Bice Group in Argentina, Four Seasons in Tokyo, and Bice Singapore at Goodwood Park.

Roberto has since made Singapore his home after opening his own restaurant, ‘Garibaldi’ in 2003 which was later voted 7th best restaurant in Asia (Miele Guide).

Soon after, he opened a chain of restaurants in different locations in Singapore which included ‘Ricciotti’-Italian Pizza Pasta and Deli, and ‘DeSté’ -a high-end Chocolate Confectionary & Deli.

Joint ventures also led Roberto to open ‘Gattopardo’ – well known for its fresh Fish, Seafood and South Italian Wine & Cuisine; ‘Brotzeit’ German Bier Bar and Restaurant, and a partnership with Chef Gunther Hubrechsen, who owns and runs the award winning Modern French Restaurant ‘Gunther’s’, located right next door to Garibaldi Restaurant.

Today, Garibaldi Group has become one of the most successful groups of restaurants in Singapore with award winning restaurants which are constantly featured with great accolades in major local and international publications.
